Kate Sykes
Rising Star
With her signature blend of Outlaw Country and Grunge, New-Orleans born singer-songwriter Kate Sykes has begun to pave her own way into the Nashville music scene. Her unique sound is defined by smoky vocals and an intimate, raw, writing style.
Kate spent most of her formative years in New Orleans growing up amongst an extremely artistic and musical family. Whether it was riding around in her dads’ old ford blasting Janes Addiction or twirling around to her grandaddy’s infamous bluegrass banjo picking, she was constantly surrounded by music. Inevitably, this inspired her to pick up the guitar and create music of her own.
Given her diverse musical upbringing, Kate’s influences range from country outlaws like Waylon Jennings and Hank Williams Jr, all the way to grunge pioneers such as Alice in Chains and Soundgarden. With her own artistry, she strives to blend these genres and bring them over to the female side of the industry. After graduating Berklee College of Music in the Spring of 2022, she moved to Nashville and has been pursuing music full time.
